The late Al Seckel was a remarkable and established authority
on illusions, most notably those of M. C. Escher, as well as other kinds – including those that were dynamic and involved more than vision. He created them and promulgated them in books, museum kiosks, and other places where they would surprise
and delight the unsuspecting.
Al was a client, among the most talented I have had the pleasure to work with. He was deeply interested in cognition and the frequent dichotomy between reality and what we take to be reality – whether
by conditioning, prejudice, mistake, or other means.

Associations column in the Los Angeles Times
Many of these columns have useful general advice and explanations about contracts and other matters that apply equally to other legal needs besides homeowners' associations
Here is his TEDx talk in 2010 at USC, ranging from entertaining to creatively thoughtful to provocative.
